It’s the Little Things
That Make a Difference
Have you ever noticed that it’s sometimes the "little things" that can make a big difference in how successful a project turns out? Much like the earrings and necklace that adorn a woman can add a new dimension to her look, small architectural elements can add impact to even the most common place structures. Grunau Metals was asked to construct stainless steel handrails for the Egg harbor Marina in Door County, WI and even though this component of the project was small compared to the other structural components, it was an important aesthetic element to the project.
People visiting the marina will not only see the handrails, but will also touch them. Two key reasons these "little things" added so much to the overall visitor experience. Fabricated from stainless steel and finished to a #4 level, the rails also included 12 cables strung beneath to block anything from falling past . If you’re looking to add a special touch to that next project, contact Grunau Metals for ideas and examples of how the little things can make a big difference.
